About Me
Hi, my name is Robbie, also known on Instagram as Drawing Robbie. I’m just a guy who loves to create and share my work. This website is dedicated to showcasing my artwork—mostly fan art—along with my stories, whether they’re fanfiction or original pieces. Occasionally, I’ll also post other creative projects.
I’m 33, from Utah, and a father. If you like my artwork and would like a special commission, feel free to email me at the address below. If you have any questions about my art or stories, I’d love to hear from you!
Why I Do What I Do
Ever since elementary school, I wanted to be an artist. Back then, I imagined that meant becoming a painter. Now, it simply means creating whatever I want—whether it’s drawing, writing, or bringing new ideas to life.
I’ve been teaching myself to draw since 2020. During the pandemic, we missed out on FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention, a place that always felt like home. I really missed going, seeing incredible artwork, and—let’s be honest—spending way too much on fan art. So, I decided if I couldn’t buy new art, I’d start making my own.
Writing stories came later. Whenever I watched TV, movies, or read books, I’d always wonder, “What happens next?” I started writing ideas in my head—new stories, new possibilities. Like many fans, when something I love gets canceled or left unfinished, I keep it alive in my imagination.
Now, this website is my way of sharing my art and stories with others—because if I love creating them, maybe others will love experiencing them too.
My Fandoms
First things first—I’m a Christian and have been my whole life. While none of my work necessarily reflects that, it could, and I’m not ashamed of that. Secondly, I’m a husband and father, and my family means the world to me. Is that a fandom? I guess so—I’m definitely a fan of my family!
Superman & DC Comics
Superman is my jam. I love everything about the Man of Steel—his goodness, his strength, and his drive to do the right thing, no matter who he’s dealing with. It’s something I strive for myself, even though I’m far from perfect. Beyond Superman, I love the DC Universe as a whole, especially when Superman crosses over with other heroes.
I grew up in the ’90s, and the DCAU (DC Animated Universe) was a huge part of my childhood—Superman: The Animated Series, Batman: The Animated Series, Static Shock, Batman Beyond, and Justice League were some of my favorites.
Marvel Comics & Heroes
While Superman and DC come first for me, I also love Marvel heroes—especially Spider-Man and Iron Man. Peter Parker’s determination and sense of responsibility, even when life keeps knocking him down, is something I really admire. Tony Stark’s genius, charisma, and personal growth over time make him another favorite.
MegaMan & Anime
Another fandom I love is MegaMan. I’m not up-to-date on everything, but I grew up watching MegaMan NT Warrior and was devastated when it got canceled—only to find out years later that more seasons existed, just never translated into English! (And yes, I’m one of those people who prefers dubs—I multitask too much to stare at subtitles constantly.)
Sticking with anime, Pokémon has been a lifelong love of mine, starting with Pokémon Yellow. I’m always excited for new games. Digimon was also a favorite—I loved the idea of having one partner who grows and fights alongside you.
My Hero Academia resonates with me too. All Might and Deku represent many of the same heroic ideals that Superman does, and honestly? I really want a Superman x All Might crossover one day.
Star Wars & Beyond
I also love Star Wars, even though being a Star Wars fan these days can be… complicated. That said, I’m a huge fan of Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau—what they’ve done with The Mandalorian and other projects is incredible.
I’m also a Doctor Who fan—Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor, but I love 9 through 14. I haven’t seen Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor yet, but I’m excited to.
There are plenty of other things I love, but if I listed them all, you’d be here all day!
